On my last visit to Pandrup in the summer of 2012, I focused on Raidho's latest ceramic-driver C Series loudspeakers, and especially its flagship C 4.1 floorstander, which has been my reference since its arrival in my listening room better than a year ago.
I returned to Pandrup this winter primarily to hear Raidho's new flagship, the D 5, which uses Raidho's newly developed diamond drivers instead of its superlative ceramic ones.
Regardless of which series of Raidho you listen to--C, D, or the brand-new, far more affordable X--the heart of each loudspeaker is Michael Borresen's superb quasi-ribbon tweeter, shown here still attached to its paper backing. (It peels off like a decal.) This tweeter remains Raidho's "best" driver, and its resolution, speed, and realism literally set the tone of every Raidho transducer.
